A 335 MW expansion of the existing dam, by a subsidiary of Columbia Power Corporation, involves the design and construction of a second powerhouse at the Waneta Dam on the Pend d’Oreille River, south of Trail, BC.

Development to be constructed in 5 phases over 15 years. Resort will be expanded from 1,200 acres to more than 4,000 acres, including residential, hotel, conference centre development, and ski terrain expansion and infrastructure upgrading.
