The Financial Services Department is responsible for accounting, taxation, insurance, financial planning and control, as well as cemetery administration.
The Director of Financial Services is responsible for the financial administrative functions of the City and is appointed by Council. He is responsible for the receipt of all monies paid to the City, the keeping of all funds and securities, the expenditure and disbursement of money in the manner authorized by the Council, the investment funds and the keeping of accurate records and full accounts of the financial affairs of the City. In addition for the financial statutory duties assigned to the Director of Financial Services, he is also responsible for the risk management function of the City.
Payments may be made at any branch of most financial institutions. If you use a banking machine, retain your receipt as proof of the date and time of payment.
