Development Approvals and Subdivision
Zoning bylaws establish specific frameworks for development, such as permitted uses of land and guidance as to how development will occur. Zoning must be consistent with the policy framework as adopted in the Official Community Plan (OCP). Other regulatory bylaws that guide development may include subdivision and development servicing bylaws, development cost charges, sign bylaws and specific plans for development within hazardous areas, transportation, infrastructure, or park development.
Specific Planning Applications that may be applicable to your development may include:
- Land Use Amendment (OCP and/or Zoning)
- Temporary Use Permit
- Development Permit
- Development Variance or Board of Variance
- Subdivision and Development Applications
