Outdoor Ice Rinks Are Looking Great!
Castlegar's outdoor public ice rinks (skating rink & hockey rink) are open for business and looking great! The City's Parks crew worked hard this week to get them re-flooded and smoothed out.
Come out and enjoy them - they are expected to be open until the end of February, weather permitting.
Updates will be posted to this website and on the City's Facebook page.
These rinks are open from 7am to 10pm every day, weather permitting. They normally remain open until late January/early February as long as the temperatures stay at or below freezing. The rinks are lit up during the evening until 10pm.
Two rinks are available, one for skating that is approximately 50ft x 90ft and the 2nd rink is used for hockey and is approximately 65ft x 95ft in size.
The rinks are free to use and are flooded as needed during low usage hours.
Ice conditions change with the weather and rinks may close if conditions deteriorate or maintenance is required.
The rinks are located at the back side of Kinnaird Park, 2501 14th Avenue.
